The game is set in space following the destruction of earth, where players have the opportunity to travel and explore a number of different planets, defeating enemies and earning new weapons and miscellaneous items. Highlights of the game include its modifications, content and graphics, however some players have commented on its poor revival mechanics and bugs. Starbound has received a positive response from fans with a review score of 9/10 on Steam and 84% on PC Gamer.
